Reservations, Booking & Age Requirements
How do I reserve a rental?
Reserve your mobility scooter, electric bike, or luxury electric golf cart online or by phone. Advance booking is recommended during festivals, holidays, and peak seasons.
Can I make a same-day reservation?
Yes, subject to availability. Contact us directly to confirm same-day availability.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome during business hours, subject to vehicle availability.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards for reservations, rental payments, security deposits, and applicable fees.
Can I modify my reservation?
Yes. Contact our team as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate changes based on availability.
Will I receive a vehicle orientation?
Yes. Our staff reviews vehicle operation, safety guidelines, riding rules, approved areas, return procedures, and company policies before departure.
Are there minimum age requirements?
Yes.
- Luxury Electric Golf Cart Drivers: 25+
Electric Bike Riders: 15+
Cruiser Bike Riders: 12+
Additional identification may be required.

Can I pick up my rental at your shop?
Absolutely. Pick up your rental at 317 Burgundy Street, New Orleans, LA 70112.
Is parking available?
Yes. Paid street parking is available near our French Quarter location.
Rental Requirements
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Every participant must read, understand, and sign the required Release, Waiver, Indemnification Agreement, and Assumption of Risk.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes.
- Mobility Scooters: $150 refundable deposit
- Electric Bikes: $150 refundable deposit
- Luxury Electric Golf Carts: $250 refundable deposit
Renters are responsible for repair or replacement costs exceeding the deposit.
Can someone else use my rental?
Only authorized participants who have completed the required rental documentation and waiver may operate company equipment.
Can the company refuse service?
Yes. NOLA Scooter reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any lawful reason.
GPS & Geo-Fenced Operating Area
Why are your vehicles GPS monitored?
Our electric vehicles use GPS tracking and geo-fencing to enhance security, support customers, and keep vehicles within approved operating areas.
What are the approved operating boundaries?
The designated riding area is bordered by Canal Street, N. Rampart Street, Esplanade Avenue, and the Riverwalk, covering approximately 78 square blocks.
What happens if I leave the approved area?
Our GPS system immediately alerts our team when a vehicle leaves the approved geo-fenced area.
Is there a fee for crossing the geo-fenced boundary?
Yes. A $150 geo-fence violation fee is charged to the credit card on file for each violation.
During Your Rental
Are your vehicles easy to operate?
Yes. Our mobility scooters, electric bikes, and electric golf carts are designed for comfortable, user-friendly operation. Staff will review the controls before departure.
How long can I keep my rental?
Rental options range from four hours to multiple days, depending on your travel plans.
Will I receive operating instructions?
Yes. Our team reviews vehicle operation, safety guidelines, return procedures, and company policies before departure.
Returns & 24/7 Access
Can I return my rental after business hours?
Yes. NOLA Scooter offers the French Quarter’s only secure 24/7 Equipment Return, allowing customers to return rentals outside normal business hours.
How does after-hours return work?
Customers receive instructions and a private access code for secure equipment return outside normal business hours.
What happens if I return my rental late?
Your return time is agreed upon before departure. Additional charges may apply for late returns.
Safety & Company Policies
Can the company refuse service?
Yes. NOLA Scooter reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any lawful reason.
Do I have to follow local traffic laws?
Yes. All participants are responsible for following applicable state and local traffic laws.
What happens if I refuse to sign the waiver?
Anyone who declines to read or sign the required waiver cannot participate. Applicable rental funds may be forfeited according to company policy.
Am I responsible for rental damage?
Yes. Renters are responsible for damage during the rental period. Costs exceeding the security deposit remain the renter’s responsibility under the rental agreement.
